About Independent Exhibition Rating

The Russian National Exhibition Rating was launched in 2013. It was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF). The technical operator is the company called RussCom IT Systems, it is the official exhibition statistics auditor in Russia and the CIS countries. RussCom IT Systems is authorized by the RUEF and accredited by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).

The main goal of the Rating is to create a transparent, competitive and civilized exhibition market in the Russian Federation by providing its participants with objective and reliable information on exhibitions statistics.

What do exhibition market participants gain from the Rating?

Exhibitors and visitors, domestic and foreign industry unions (associations):
- effective tool for selection among targeted exhibitions

Exhibition organizers:
- independent comparative evaluation of their events
- opportunity to assert the actual quality of their exhibitions and an incentive to improve it
- basis to craft marketing strategies of their development

How is it formed?

The Rating is compiled annually at the beginning of each calendar year and published at www.exporating.ru not later than March 15.

All exhibitions that passed an official exhibition audit during the past two years become the Rating nominees.

The Rating includes:
- Russian National Exhibition Rating, based on events held all over Russia;
- Russian Regional Exhibition Rating, based on events held in Russia, except for Moscow and the Moscow region.

The subsection of the Russian Regional Exhibition Rating is the rating of exhibitions in Russian Federal Districts.

Each subject section of the Rating includes a list of exhibitions which hold no place in the rating because during the given period their statistics were not confirmed by an audit. Such exhibitions passed an exhibition statistics audit at any previous period, were approved by UFI, have RUEF logos and are supported by RF CCI.

Rating Participants

The Rating participants are Russian b2b exhibitions aimed at development of industrial and trade relations in the business environment.

Having passed an exhibition statistics audit, an event automatically becomes a Rating participant.

All rated exhibitions are ranked within their respective categories according to the specially designed subject classifier, thus competing exhibitions are compared.

Rating Results

The nominees are rated in four different nominations based on their statistic parameters:

The Rating participants are entitled to use the following title in their promotional materials: "Member of Russian Exhibition Rating," as well as their honorary titles.

The first prize winner in any nomination is entitled “The largest exhibition in Russia in 2011-2012 in a certain category in a given nomination.” An event that holds the first place in all nominations becomes “The best exhibition in Russia in 2011-2012 in a certain category in all nominations.” Similar honorary titles are granted in the regional rating and the rating for Federal Districts.

Further information on the Rating methods can be found in Regulations of the Russian National Exhibition Rating.
